Abstract
The article is dedicated to the 75-th anniversary of the Atlantic branch of VNIRO (AtlantNIRO). It examines the history of fisheries research conducted by the institute’s team in the Baltic Sea, different areas of the Atlantic and the South-East Pacific Ocean. The work highlights an integrated approach to the study of aquatic bioresources. It shows the significant contribution of AtlantNIRO biologists, oceanographers and technologists to domestic and world science on oceanic and marine areas assigned to the institute.
