The formation of a clear pricing system in ship repair is one of the goals for further integration of ship–owning and ship-repair companies

Abstract

According to the participants of the conference “Ship Repair, modernization, components”, one of the problematic issues in the relationship between a shipowner and a domestic ship repair company remains a transparent and understandable pricing system in ship repair.The conducted research has shown that there is no simple solution to this issue, although it largely depends on the rules of organizational relationships between participants in this type of business. The authors concluded that in order to solve the problem, it is necessary to consider the integration of ship-owning companies and domestic ship repair enterprises.
Various scientific approaches, such as systematic, complex, situational, and targeted, were used to conduct qualitative research. The article suggests several options for solving the issue of a transparent and understandable pricing system in ship repair, which can lead to further integration of shipowners and ship repair companies.
