Sub-committee on Fisheries Management – a new body of FAO: legal status and analysis of the results of the 1st session

Abstract
The article examines the legal status of the Fisheries Management Sub-Committee, established in 2022 by the FAO Fisheries Committee. The history of its creation, competence is considered, development prospects and significance for fisheries management at the international level are assessed. The results of the 1st session of the Subcommittee were analyzed in detail and its significance for the development of international fisheries management was determined.
